The Quality Technician will be a key member of Church Metal’s Quality Team. They should have experience in reading/interpreting prints, a good understanding of GDT dimensioning, experience in calibrating measurement tools and experience in using 2D and 3D modeling software (SolidWorks is ideal). Previous experience in using a CMM and performing measurement of parts is preferred.
Initially, the primary activities to be performed are:
- Measurement of interim or completed parts using CMM and manual measurement devices.
- Giving appropriate feedback to other members of the Quality Team and Production Team.
- Perform gage calibration of manual gages.
- Record and document Quality issues or problems using Company ERP.
- Aid in the completion of PPAP packages under direction of Senior Quality Technician and Manager.
- Complete updates to production process documents including job travelers, inspection documents and prints.
- Participate on cross departmental teams to address and resolve quality problems and to ensure the continuous, on-going improvement of processes and methods.
