Church Metal Spinning Company has been a member of the Precision Metalforming Association for several decades.   The PMA has helped Church grow and develop through the local Wisconsin District organization, the Metal Spinning Division and national events and educational opportunities.  It also helps us to drive our values and interests through its Educational Foundation with targeted programs and annual scholarships to those who want to pursue education relative to the Metalforming industry.  The PMA also gives voice to non-partisan concerns of the Metalforming industry in Washington, DC by communicating with our representatives, participating in the Agency rule-making process, and then communicating back on how to traverse the regulatory terrain as it develops.

Our participation in the Metal Spinning Division has given us a greater depth of understanding of the business and the US marketplace than we had previously.  In fact, we don’t know of any other organization that has such a clear window into the Metal Spinning industry.  One of the key benefits is knowing our other participating companies.  When we speak to Customers and Prospects, we like to be able to direct them to those companies that can best serve their requirements, even if it’s not us.  If we can provide a solution to a Customer, we think they may be more likely to check in with us for their next sourcing requirement.   We also work closely with the machinery makers for our industry.   The interaction helps them to provide us with better machines engineered to the needs of the business.

During the first few months of COVID-19, PMA’s Washington insiders gave us the information directly from the ongoing process in D.C.   During this period of great uncertainty, PMA companies were given clear and effective guidance that allowed us to know we were doing the right thing every step of the way.  Getting peace of mind at that time was an invaluable service.
